Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a session receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit the deposit. Each stylist sets their own specific policy — always check their profile before booking.
Yes — many stylists on alt.style offer video-call styling sessions conducted over Zoom or Google Meet. Use the "Virtual" filter when searching to find stylists who work remotely. Virtual sessions are available worldwide.
If you have an issue with a booking, contact our support team at hello@alt.style within 7 days of the session. We review all disputes and mediate fairly between client and stylist. Services that are fraudulent or seriously misrepresented are eligible for a full refund.
We charge a 15% platform commission on completed bookings only. There are no monthly fees, no sign-up costs, and no hidden charges. You keep 85% of every booking you complete.
We strongly recommend all stylists carry professional liability insurance, particularly for in-person services. alt.style does not provide insurance cover for stylists or clients. Contact us and we can point you toward industry-standard providers.
Applications are reviewed within 5 business days. We assess portfolio quality, specialisation fit, and overall professionalism. You'll receive an email with the outcome either way — we respond to every application.
Absolutely. Many of our stylists accept editorial, event, and commercial bookings alongside personal styling. Message a stylist directly through their profile to discuss project-specific requirements and bespoke pricing before booking.
